Kott Gerontology Institute Scholars Program
Supported since 2004 by grants from the Russell and Josephine Kott Memorial Charitable Trust, the Kott Gerontology Institute awards paid internships to advanced graduate students attending universities in the chicago area to work with senior citizens. A full academic year of intensive training helps interns, representing a variety of professions, to develop skills that prepare them to create and deliver services to senior citizens after graduation. Internships are provided by a consortium of community-based agencies serving the elderly in suburban Chicago.
